Sometime in the early 90's, JD King did a series of Jazz Icons designs of which Sun Ra was one of the subjects. Around the same time, an old friend of mine was buying elect product for a mail-order operation he that was gonna be his dream job. He scored a handful of these shirts for that purpose. But personal issues got in the way & alas, the site never got going. Cut to all these years later, he's going through his storage locker & comes across various inventory items meant for that curation, these shirts among the deadstock.
these are Fruit of the Loom 100% cotton. Washed once to get that "old" scent removed & line dried, got a few each in M, L, XL (4 each?). Of all the many hundreds of Sun Ra shirts that have appeared in the 30 years since, this is still a personal fave.
